Understanding PrintReleaf Certificates

Common questions and insights

PrintReleaf Certificates provide detailed offset information, including customer data, transaction date, offset volume, trees reforested, project locations, and a unique identifier. Certificates are emailed to customers and accessible via their PrintReleaf dashboard.

New features include carbon stats (if applicable), a compact layout for matching biomass and carbon offsets, impact tables summarizing contributions to projects and United Nation's Sustainability Development Goals (SDGs), and distinct designs for Lifetime, Annual, and Quarterly certificates. Additionally, a new interactive map displays all supported reforestation and carbon projects.

What type of Certificates are Issued?

PrintReleaf issues two types of certificates: Transactional Certificates and Customer Certificates.

Transactional Certificates include the Biomass Offset Certificate and Carbon Offset Certificate, which document specific offset transactions for biomass (trees reforested) and carbon (metric tonnes offset) services.

Customer Certificates recognize long-term impact, with three formats: Lifetime Certificate (total impact over time), Annual Certificate (impact for a calendar year), and the Quarterly Certificate (NEW!), which provides more frequent updates on a customer's reforestation and carbon offset contributions, designed to be shared during Sales QBR's and public-facing disclosures.

Is my Lifetime Certificate updated monthly with my latest cumulative totals?

Yes, your Lifetime Certificate reflects your latest cumulative totals and is automatically emailed to you around the 20th day of each month.

Is the Lifetime Certificate cumulative? Does it grow each month?

Yes, the Lifetime Certificate is cumulative with numbers increasing each month. If the numbers remain unchanged from the previous month, it indicates that no new paper or packaging lb/kg volume consumption have been added to PrintReleaf in that time frame.

When are the Annual Certificates generated?

Annual certificates are based on the calendar year. For instance, your 2023 Annual Certificate will be available on January 2024.
